My Favorite Moments in the K-Drama, You’re Beautiful

You’re Beautiful is a 2009 South Korean television series starring Park Shinhye, Jung Yong Hwa, Jang Geun Suk, and Lee Hongki. The series tells the story of Go Mi Nam, a girl who disguises herself as her twin brother Go Mi Nyu in order to join the popular boy band A.N.JELL.

I absolutely loved You’re Beautiful. It was a funny, heartwarming, and romantic drama that I couldn’t help but fall in love with. Here are some of my favorite moments from the series:

• Mi Nam’s disguise. I thought it was hilarious that Mi Nam had to dress up as a boy in order to join A.N.JELL. She did a great job of pretending to be a guy, and I loved watching her interact with the other members of the band.
• The love triangle. The love triangle between Mi Nam, Tae Kyeong, and Shin Woo was one of the most interesting parts of the series. I couldn’t decide who I wanted Mi Nam to end up with, and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
• The music. The music in You’re Beautiful was amazing. I loved all of the songs that A.N.JELL sang, and I even found myself singing along sometimes.
• The friendship. The friendship between Mi Nam, Tae Kyeong, Shin Woo, and Jeremy was one of the best parts of the series. They were always there for each other, no matter what.
• The ending. I was so happy with the ending of You’re Beautiful. Mi Nam got to be with the man she loved, and she was able to pursue her dream of becoming a singer.

Overall, I thought You’re Beautiful was a fantastic drama. It was funny, heartwarming, and romantic, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new K-drama to watch.

Here are some additional moments that I loved from You’re Beautiful:

• The start of the series, when Mi Nam confronts a girl watching ANJELL on her phone while mass is going on. Even if it’s not her fault, it intensified made their mother superior’s hunch that Mi Nam is not cut out to be a nun and that God had a different path set for her.
• When Mi Nam first meets ANJELL
• When Mi Nam sings for the first time in front of the band. She is so nervous, but she does a great job.
• When Mi Nam and Tae Kyeong accidentally kiss. It was funny and sweet. I jumped out of excitement.
• When Tae Kyeong makes a pig rabbit for Mi Nam because she reminds her of it.
• The time when Jeremy found out that Mi Nam was a real girl and that he fell for a cis-female, not an androgynous cis-male.
• All the times when Shin Won protected Mi Nam secretly, even if it meant sacrificing his deep feelings for her.
• When Mi Nam and Tae Kyeong finally confess their feelings for each other. It is such a happy moment.

I could go on and on about all of the things I loved about You’re Beautiful, but I think you get the point. It is a truly amazing drama that I will never forget.
